Most of Canada's top allies have substantially increased subsidies on Chinese electric vehicles as concerns began to mount with both the economic and security prospects of those cars coming to North America.
"We're competing against China's balance sheet as a country and its national geopolitical intent of gaining market share in the two most lucrative markets in the world, Europe and North America," Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association president Flavio Volpe said.
