BREAKING: 'Survive to be hugged again' Advisers warn against hugging elderly relatives at Christmas

Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty says 'I would not encourage someone to hug and kiss their elderly relatives' over the Christmas window of 23-27 December.

"Would I encourage people to hug and kiss elderly relatives? No, I would not," he says. "It's not against the law - you can do it within the rules that are there - but it doesn't make sense."
