Leading planemaker Boeing Co will pay $2.5bn to settle a criminal charge of concealing design flaws in its 737 MAX planes to resolve the US Department of Justice investigation into two deadly crashes involving the aircraft.
The settlement includes money for the families of victims of the crashes that killed 346 people, and grounded fleets worldwide.
