Blinken holds joint press conference with South Korea's foreign minister | LIVE

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will sign a memorandum of understanding and hold a joint press conference with South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin on Friday.

The press conference comes after it was announced that Blinken had postponed a high-stakes diplomatic trip to China this weekend as the U.S. weighs a broader response to the discovery of a high-altitude Chinese balloon over sensitive sites in the western United States.

The abrupt decision was made just hours before Blinken was to depart for Beijing and comes despite China's claim that the balloon is a weather research satellite that had blown off course. The U.S. has described it as a surveillance satellite.
