Bigger than expected drop in inflation

The rate of price rises significantly slowed again in November to another two-year low, official figures show.

Falling diesel and petrol prices were the driver of the bigger than expected drop.

The rate at which prices increased stood at 3.9% last month, a fall from the 4.6% recorded a month earlier.

It's the lowest rate since October 2021.
