Speaking on Thursday about the U.S. government’s next steps in the COVID-19 vaccination rollout, President Joe Biden said federal government employees would need to “attest to their vaccination status” or face weekly COVID-19 testing.

Biden also said the Department of Veterans Affairs would require COVID-19 vaccinations for all doctors, nurses and other health-care workers and that the U.S. Department of Defence will look into adding the COVID-19 vaccine to the list of mandatory vaccines for all armed forces members.

The president also called on states to provide people who get vaccinated with $100, as an incentive to encourage more people to get the shot.
