Biden signs executive orders to undo child separation, other Trump immigration policies

U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday signed three executive orders on immigration, including to undo the policy enacted under the Trump administration of separating children and parents at the U.S. border.

While signing the order he called it a “stain” on America’s reputation.
Biden also addressed questions about the spate of executive orders he has signed since taking office, saying that in doing so he is “eliminating bad policy.”

The president also signed an executive order that, he said, “addresses the root causes” of immigration to the U.S. border and a third order that establishes a full review of the Trump administrations “harmful and counterproductive” policies on immigration.
