The European Medical Watchdog says the "unusual blood clots" reported by a small number of those taking the AstraZeneca jab should be listed as a "very rare" side-effect.

The statement comes after several countries suspended the jab rollout due to fears about the safety of the vaccine.

Earlier this week, the EMA's head of vaccine strategy said it was "increasingly difficult" to say there is "no cause and effect relationship" between the jab and "rare cases of unusual blood clots".
