A Victoria, B.C., woman has just returned from a dream trip to Hawaii, where she married the love of her life on the beach. But it was a wedding she couldn’t even imagine earlier this year.

Allison Ducluzeau was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer and said she's now stable after seeking an alternative treatment in the United States. She says she wasn't offered that treatment in Canada.

As Global's Kylie Stanton reports, she says that instead she was told to consider medical assistance in dying. It was then that Ducluzeau promised herself to do everything she could to find another treatment and a better outcome.
