A state of emergency remains in place in B.C. where hundreds of wildfires have forced evacuations.

“These (fire) crews are facing an unprecedented situation – this year the wildfire season has been raging out of control. Currently, we have over 380 wildfires in the province – 160 of those considered out of control.

That is a monumental situation and these crews have been putting in an insane amount of work and dedication to get these fires under control,” professional firefighter Sebastien Sevallo said, appearing on "The Morning Show."

“It’s a pretty dire situation,” Sevallo added.

The B.C. Wildfire Service has reported some equipment purposefully left in place was moved or stolen. Sevallo says it's likely that people are taking the equipment to use in their own homes. "At least that's what we hope they're using it for," he says.
