From gas rationing to fresh evacuations, British Columbia's state of emergency orders are being extended ahead of another atmospheric river, the third in recent weeks.

Environment Canada is warning the next weather system expected will deliver what it calls a "relatively strong punch".

About 50 to 100 millimetres of rain is forecast. Heather Yourex-West reports on how the flood-ravaged city of Abbotsford is bracing for what's to come.

And as Robin Gill reports, the urgent measures are taking a toll on worn-out residents in other parts of the province.
