Sexual extortion is on the rise, and how to prosecute those who share intimate images of others without consent is a major problem.

While people of all ages can be exploited, children and teenagers are often victimized.

In response to tragedies like Amanda Todd, who was only 15 years old when she died by suicide after years of sextortion, British Columbia recently passed what it calls the Intimate Images Protection Act.
