With just days to go for the big prestige contest in Gujarat, the results of Haryana Panchayat polls have been watched with great interest. The AAP did surprisingly well. The BJP won 22 seats on the party symbol but lost in some key areas. The AAP won 15 seats. The Congress did not contest the panchayat polls on its party symbol. Congress leader Deepender Hooda tweeted that the results were a shock for the BJP-JJP alliance but says the real winners are the Independents. He says the AAP's voteshare was just 3%, the BJP's 5.1% while Independents got 86.8%. But is this indicative of a larger political trend where the battlelines are now between the BJP and the AAP?
