Ukraine says its forces in the eastern Donbas region destroyed a dozen Russian tanks on Tuesday, as well as several armoured vehicles and aircraft.
The regional governor of Donetsk says three residents were killed and three others were injured in Russian attacks.
There used to be 15,000 people living in Mykolaivka, a town in Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine but most have left.
Among those that remain, opinions are divided.
