In a significant development, Uttar Pradesh police have detained Mahesh Mishra, the main offender of allegedly placing unpleasant objects outside the mosque. On Thursday, six more people were arrested after an alleged effort to disrupt peace and tranquilly in the temple town of Ayodhya. Pratyush Srivastava, Nitin Kumar, Deepak Kumar Gaur, Brajesh Pandey, and Shatrughn Prajapati are the other defendants in the case who have been detained thus far. The defendants sought to vent their frustrations about the Janhangirpuri riots in New Delhi, which targeted Shobha Yatra processions on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
