Asylum seekers are on hunger strike over 'prison-style' conditions in UK camp

Hundreds of asylum seekers have gone on hunger strike, with some even attempting suicide, over desperate conditions at a makeshift temporary camp in southern England. Rights groups warn that the former army barracks are 'worse than a prison'. Overcrowding there has also left refugees terrified of catching covid.
