Are we getting an accurate picture of what is happening in Gaza? | DW News

The devastating war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip means the constant threat of danger for journalists trying to cover the conflict. Recent figures from the Committee to Protect Journalists show Palestinian journalists made up the majority of those killed worldwide in the past year. Since Hamas's October 7 terror attacks, 83 Palestinian and two Israeli journalists have been killed. Inside the Gaza Strip, the reporting of the war is almost exclusively now down to Palestinian journalists. Israel refuses to allow foreign journalists in to report independently there. Anyone reporting from the ground is doing so under extremely difficult conditions. So are we still able to get an accurate picture of what's going on in Gaza?
