It may be spring, but Calgary looks like a winter wonderland.
A snowfall warning was issued early Thursday morning with heavy, wet snow falling throughout the day.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, about 15 – 30 centimetres of snow fell in total.
Global News Chief Meteorologist Tiffany Lizée says this is not uncommon for Calgary. “I know a lot of people were ready for springtime, but April is typically one of our snowiest months.”
But as Joelle Tomlinson reports, the dump of snow is not only on brand for Calgary, it is also good for drought conditions in Alberta.
