A volcano in Iceland has been posing threats of an eruption for weeks, with nearby communities evacuated.

Volcanic activity has since waned, but authorities have warned the evacuation zone is still dangerous, fearing an eruption can occur with only a few minutes' warning.

As the world prepares for an impending volcanic eruption in Iceland, look back to 2010 when the Eyjafjallajokull glacier sent ash into the air and covered Europe under a volcanic cloud.
