Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has just begun her new job and is already facing controversy. She said people who chose not to get vaccinated were "the most discriminated against group that I've ever witnessed in my lifetime."
In addition to backlash from Indigenous, Jewish, Muslim, and other marginalized groups in response, British Columbia's Premier John Horgan has also called Smith's comments "laughable."
