"Every time capacity is increased, air fares do tend to head downwards. However, the only complicating factor this time is the war in Ukraine, which is resulting in oil prices spiking. If we didn't increase capacity, air fares would've been higher, so increased capacity will be a moderating factor," said incoming Jet Airways CEO Sanjiv Kapoor when asked if skyrocketing air fares would come down substantially after India resuming regular international flights.
