A new program from Canada's largest airline is testing cutting-edge technology that promises to make getting you to your destination faster and easier.
Air Canada is rolling out a facial recognition pilot project that would confirm customer identification, using a feature that matches a scan of your passport's photo and chip with selfies to authenticate identity.
But while it might reduce lineups at the airport, privacy and aviation experts as well as members of the public have reservations about using facial recognition for convenience. Global's Anne Gaviola explains.
