Adnan Syed, convicted in 2000 for murdering his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, was released on Monday in Baltimore. His case received widespread attention in 2014 when the debut season of the Serial podcast focused on Lee's murder and raised doubts about some of the evidence prosecutors had used.
