पश्चिम बंगाल से आए बर्बरता के वीडियो ने देशभर को हिला दिया है. सरेआम बीच सड़क पर एक महिला से मारपीट की गई. उसे लाठियों से पीटा जाता रहा. महिला दर्द से चीखती रही लेकिन न मारने वाले को रहम आया, न ही देखने वाली भीड़ में बचाने की हिम्मत. यह वीडियो उत्तर बंगाल के उत्तर दिनाजपुर जिले के चोपड़ा का बताया जाता है. घटना कथित तौर पर वीकेंड के दौरान हुई. वीडियो में नजर आ रहे हैवान की पहचान तजमुल उर्फ 'जेसीबी' के रूप में हुई है. विपक्षी दलों के अनुसार, तजमुल सत्ताधारी तृणमूल कांग्रेस (TMC) से जुड़ाव रखता है. हालांकि, चोपड़ा से TMC के विधायक हमीदुल रहमान ने कहा कि तजमुल का पार्टी से कोई लेना-देना नहीं.
