Accelerating Parkinson's cases 'need more focus'

Dr Simon Scott of Cure Parkinson's says he is hopeful that 'disease modifying therapies' can soon be developed for Parkinson's.

Symptomatic treatments - which only mask the symptoms - are the only medicinal help that can be offered at present.

He says the rate of incidence of the disease in the UK is growing faster than any other neurological condition, with 10m people now suffering from it.
