Simba the lion has left the ‘Save Me’ shelter in Chelyabinsk, Russia, and is now on his way home to Tanzania. The animal was rescued by the shelter staff and was barely holding on for dear life. In Tanzania, Simba will be held in huge aviary-like enclosures, with a special pool for him to bathe in and platforms to climb on, says the director of the rehabilitation center in Tanzania. Simba’s also accompanied by Eva, the leopard, also previously rescued by the Russian shelter.
