Four people were injured Thursday after a fire broke out at the ExxonMobil refinery in Baytown, Texas, near Houston, in what the local sheriff called a "major industrial accident."

Refinery manager Rohan Davis said in an update Thursday morning that based on his "current understanding," the four people were in stable condition. He also said all those working at the site had been evacuated.

According to Davis, there was no "adverse impact" at the time and there did not appear to be a need to evacuate nor implement a shelter-in-place for nearby residents.
