A thirteen -year-old girl from Brampton, Ont., has become one of the youngest people in Canada to die from the novel coronavirus.

Emily Viegas died on April 22 after testing positive for COVID-19. Her mother is also in the ICU with the virus.

As Eric Sorensen reports, news of her death is a tragic loss for the family and for a community hit hard by the pandemic.
