After CSIS director David Vigneault issued a warning about the social video app, TikTok, and its potential for its users to have their data stolen, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Friday that “Canadians need to listen.”
Trudeau said, “We already took measures as a government to ensure all federal computers and phones do not have the TikTok app applied to them.”
“The concerns are that the data TikTok collects on all of its users gets simply funnelled to the government of China and is potentially used for nefarious purposes,” the prime minister said.
