Ukraine rolled out the red carpet for Boris Johnson, greeting him with a military ceremony and a trip to the Mariinskyi palace.

Mr Johnson told President Volodymyr Zelensky Ukraine was “looking strong”.

But was there real warmth in the words delivered in zero degree temperatures in Kyiv?
