Lok Sabha Election Date Updates: चुनाव आयोग आज यानी शनिवार (16 मार्च) को लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए तारीखों का ऐलान करने वाला है. चुनावी कार्यक्रम का ऐलान होने के साथ ही देश में आचार संहिता लागू हो जाएगी. चुनाव आयोग लोकसभा चुनाव के साथ-साथ कुछ राज्यों में होने वाले विधानसभा चुनाव के कार्यक्रम का भी ऐलान करने वाला है. चुनाव की तारीखों का ऐलान शनिवार दोपहर 3 बजे किया जाएगा.

दरअसल, वर्तमान लोकसभा का कार्यकाल 16 जून को खत्म हो रहा है. ऐसे में उससे पहले नई लोकसभा का गठन किया जाना है. माना जा रहा है कि पिछली बार की तरह ही इस बार भी सात चरणों में लोकसभा चुनाव करवाए जा सकते हैं. चुनाव आयोग ने तारीखों का ऐलान करने से पहले अधिकारियों को हर राज्य और केंद्रशासित प्रदेश के दौरे पर भेजा था, ताकि वे चुनाव करवाए जाने वाले हालातों का जायजा ले सकें.

लोकसभा चुनाव में 12 लाख से अधिक मतदान केंद्रों पर करीब 97 करोड़ लोग मतदान करने वाले हैं. 543 संसदीय सीटों के लिए चुनाव अप्रैल-मई के महीने में करवाए जाएंगे. इस बार संसदीय चुनाव को विपक्षी गठबंधन ‘इंडिया’ (इंडियन नेशनल डेवलेपमेंटल इन्क्लूसिव एलायंस) और बीजेपी के नेतृत्व वाले एनडीए के बीच मुकाबले के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है. इंडिया गठबंधन के लिए लोकसभा चुनाव करो या मरो वाली स्थिति है.

वहीं, लोकसभा चुनाव के साथ-साथ आंध्र प्रदेश, सिक्किम, अरुणाचल प्रदेश और ओडिशा में होने वाले विधानसभा चुनाव की तारीखों का ऐलान भी किया जाएगा. इन राज्यों की विधानसभा का कार्यकाल जून में अलग-अलग तारीखों पर खत्म हो रहा है. पिछली बार लोकसभा चुनाव की तारीखों का ऐलान 10 मार्च को ही किया गया था और 11 अप्रैल से सात चरणों में मतदान हुआ था. वोटों की गिनती 23 मई को हुई थी. फिलहाल ओपिनियन पोल इस बात की ओर इशारा कर रहे हैं कि बीजेपी को इस चुनाव में जीत हासिल हो सकती है.

The Election Commission (EC) is set to reveal the schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on Saturday. According to a post on X, the poll panel will hold a press conference at 3 pm to announce the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections and some state assemblies. The current term of the Lok Sabha ends on June 16, necessitating the constitution of a new House before that date. Similarly, the terms of the assemblies in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Odisha are also approaching their end on various dates in June.

Projections and Expectations for 2024 Polls
The 2024 parliamentary polls are anticipated to be a significant contest, particularly for the opposition INDIA bloc. Opinion poll conducted by ABP-CVoter projects a commanding lead for the NDA, estimating a vote share of 45.9 per cent and approximately 366 seats in the Lok Sabha. Conversely, the INDIA bloc, which includes the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), is expected to secure a 39 per cent vote share and 156 seats.

These projections indicate a notable shift in voting patterns since the 2019 Lok Sabha results, with the BJP witnessing a positive swing of 3.08 per cent, and the INDIA bloc experiencing a rise of 2.5 per cent.
